🏡 RIP Oscar The Grouch

Stay till the end to take the weekly poll.

Hi Zillionaires and Potato sHEADs! 🏡🏡🏡

I know I may have asked this before but I’ve been thinking about sending this weekly or even daily (every time there is a new home), instead of the bi-monthlyish that it’s coming - would you all be in to that? I made a poll at the end to gauge interest - would love to know what you all think!!!

SUPPORT ZILLOW GONE WILD!!

Alsoooo, a lot of people always ask me how to support ZGW. The best way is to sign up for our Patreon (as low as $1/month) and join our community. There you can also submit homes/talk about them/see them in advance and more!

Okkkkk now let’s talk about the latest poll. Last week we asked if it was ok to paint brick and a lot of you all say yes? I MUST disagree! It’s really bad to paint brick because brick needs to breathe. Painted brick does look nice though, I cannot deny that, but I’d only recommend it if it was painted already.

Let’s get to the wild homes shall we!!

Rufus Wainwright’s cottage is for sale in Laurel Canyon for $2,200,000. The 1926 storybook style home has 3 bed, 4 ba, 2,119 sq ft and “classical elements like wood-beamed cathedral ceilings, stained glass windows, a mantled fireplace, a fabulous octagon-shaped library, lush greenery yards, and outdoor dining areas with balconies on every level” and more. Listing.

Storybook? Yes please.

This just feels right.

One of the nicest libraries we’ve ever seen?

All we can say is, RIP Oscar the Grouch. Jacksonville, Florida. $899,000. Jacksonville, FL. 5 bd, 4 ba. 4,059 sq ft. .69 acre (lot) lot. Listing.

Classic mid century.

RIP Oscar.

I hope he didn’t suffer here.

We need to come up with a name for homes where we never know what’s going on inside them, but we actually are very into their design choices? Please let me know in the comments what you think we should call this series 🙏🏼. $1,600,000. Heath, TX. 4 bd, 5 ba. 4,546 sq ft. 1 acre. Plenty of room for a potato shed. Listing.

Looks normal!

OK that’s fun!

I didn’t know glowing fireplaces were an option?

That’s it for the wild homes this week. Which one was your favorite?
